Michael Edwards Associates - Architects

Michael Edwards Associates was formed in 1972 by Michael Edwards, architect. Originally based in Birmingham city centre (and later with offices in Poole) the practice moved to leafy Edgbaston in 1996.

In 1990 Andrew Sargent and Michael Ravenhill became partners in the practice. Michael Edwards (b. 6.07.1934 d. 4.12.2014) retired in 2003 continuing as an associate for the following few years.

In 2010 Robert Smith became a partner and the practice continues to develop its strengths working on residential, mixed use and commercial projects.

In October 2013 Minerva Mill Innovation Centre in Alcester received the prestigious Alcester Civic Society Architecture Award. As the architects involved in the development of this Grade II Listed Building Robert Smith and Michael Ravenhill of Michael Edwards Associates were present at the ceremony.

In December 2014 following over 40 years trading as a Partnership Michael Ravenhill and Robert Smith became directors of new a Limited company, with Andrew Sargent remaining as a practising Architect and consultant to the practice.
